Use Eco-Friendly Paints for Your London Home

Redecoration is one of the most inexpensive ways to get a new look for your house. Giving your kitchen or lounge a new coat of colour doesn’t involve moving the walls and it would create an illusion of more space. It is not half as costly as building an extension or knocking down the wall to build it again.

While when looking for a new wall, there are a few things you should consider.

  • Are we being eco-friendly?
  • What is our objective, more space or more comfort?
  • What would be the preferred colour scheme?
  • What type of paint finish to use?

The first question is about how bio-friendly we want to be? It might sound to be an odd question at first. However, there are limitations and we need to know the answer of this question. When we want to use environment-friendly colours, the choice of colour becomes less. The natural ingredients of VOC or Volatile Organic Compounds doesn’t create many colours and they are not great in producing bolder colours.

However, there is an advantage of using bio-friendly colours. They have very low odour, if at all, and they are also very child friendly. They have been approved by the toy safety standards which means they can be used in kids furnitures and toys. Finally, when we are using eco-friendly paints, we are also becoming friends of mother earth.
